The Capital Region trading area has a population of 330,000. The District of Central Saanich is unique in that 2/3 of its 5,007 hectare land area is located in the Agricultural Land Reserve.
The Keating Business Park is the largest business park in the region, and is located within a twenty minutes commute of the Province of British Columbia capital City of Victoria. The University of Victoria, Royal Roads University, Camosun College, and a number of other post secondary institutions are located within a 30 minute commute to the District, providing a source of highly educated and skilled workers for high quality manufacturing and knowledge based industry having a small environmental footprint.
The District of Central Saanich has the lowest Light Industry and Business municipal property tax rates in the Capital Region, well developed infrastructure, a strong Official Community Plan, and comprehensive development policies and guidelines.
