Peninsula Country Market

The first market of the year runs on June 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and continues every Sunday morning until October 9.  Shop for local produce, baked goods, arts and crafts and more every week from more than 50 vendors.  It's located at the Saanich Fairgrounds, 1528 Stelly's Cross Road.

Music in the Park - July & August

Bring your lawnchair and enjoy music every Wednesday evening in July & August, 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Pioneer Park, Brentwood Bay.

Central Saanich Days

Held at Centennial Park over the August long weekend, festivities include pancake breakfasts, hay rides, face painting, children's games, a petting farm, a slowpitch tournament...and lots more!

Super Dog Day - August 14, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The dogs days of summer are super on the beach with your pet! See the amazing Wonder Dogs perform stunts at Island View Beach Regional Park (two show times: 1pm & 2pm). Take the dunes tour with biologists and other dog lovers to learn about the wild side of the seaside. This special family event is co-hosted by Habitat Acquisition Trust (HAT) and CRD Parks.  For more information visit Habitat Acquisition Trust.

Saanich Fall Fair - Labour Day Weekend - September 4-6

BC's oldest fair, now in its 143rd year, Features prize-winning produce and livestock, farm and craft displays, live entertainment and a midway.  Come join the fun at Saanich Fairgrounds, 1528 Stelly's X Road.

Remembering When Program

The Remembering When Program is a program presented by the National Fire Protection Association, and is aimed at providing a safe environment for the older adults in our community.  The program centers around 16 key safety messages - eight fire prevention and eight fall prevention tips.  If your group would like the Central Saanich Fire Department to offer a presentation to your members, call 250-544-4240 or 250-544-4225.

Central Saanich Lawn Bowls

The Central Saanich Lawn Bowling Club invites members - new and old - to join their group.  Club activities take place at 1800 Hovey Road (Centennial Park, off Wallace Drive).  Free coaching is offered to new members.  To find out more, call Liz Garlick at 250-655-0699.

Central Saanich Volunteer Firefighters Historical Museum
The Volunteer Firefighters Historical Museum is open for tours the last Saturday of every month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road.
