Citizen Satisfaction Survey

A Citizen Satisfaction Survey (“Survey”) was identified as a 2015 priority of council within its strategic plan. A survey is an important voice for citizens, and is an opportunity for citizens to provide input on the District’s performance, their satisfaction with civic services and overall quality of life.

The District of Central Saanich engaged NRG Consultants to undertake a telephone/online survey in December 2015 to ask for community feedback on public satisfaction with municipal services including: 

  • 
the perceived value for taxes;
  •  communication and information needs;
  •  public needs, concerns, and priorities; and
  •  general quality of life

Following the Survey the municipality is better prepared to answer the question: Does our fiscal and human capacity match service delivery and strategic expectations?.

Identifying some of the key drivers of resident and business perceptions of quality of life, satisfaction with District of Central Saanich government in meeting the community’s needs, and Central Saanich as a place to live or do business, and monitoring these and how they change over time is an important component of the District’s strategic planning process and the allocation of resources.
