The Chair of the Administration and Finance Committee is Councillor John Garrison.  This Committee meets to discuss the following matters:

  • Annual Budget and Five Year Financial Plan
  • Fees and charges for the General, Sewer, and Water funds
  • Property acquisition and disposal
  • Bylaws, excepting those under Part 29 of the Local Government Act
  • Property assessments, tax structures, and exemptions

  • Insurance and risk management
  • Audit and accounting procedures
  • Grant applications to Provincial, Federal, and other senior government agencies
  • Information management systems
  • Development Cost Charges
  • Personnel matters
  • Contracts, Agreements, and Leases
  • Provision of library services to Central Saanich
  • Strategic planning
