Public Hearings are scheduled as required and follow all the rules that constitute a lawfully established meeting. Notice for these meetings can be found on this page or on the notice board at the Municipal Hall.
The purpose of a Public Hearing is to allow those persons who will be affected by a Land Use Bylaw amendment to make a formal representation to Council. The intent is for Council to receive the input of the public and at a later date, Council will weigh the merits of the input received and either adopt, amend, or abandon the Land Use Bylaw. After a Public Hearing has concluded, Council cannot receive any further public input.
