A proposed amendment to the District's Development Cost Change (DCC) Bylaw (Bylaw No. 1629) has been introduced by the Municipal Council.  The purpose of Bylaw No. 1629 is to implement a DCC for the purposes of recovering the cost of undergrounding BC Hydro (including Telus and Shaw) from the developers of future development projects within the Brentwood Bay corridor Revitalization Area, as they redevelop.

Council will be conisdering further readings of Bylaw No. 1629 at the Special (Open) Council Meeting to be held on August 18, 2008, commencing at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Saanich Municipal Hall Council Chamber. Further information can be obtained by contacing the Municipal Hall.
