Payment Information

Water and Sewer services are billed three times per year (January, May and September).  A ten-percent discount is granted to customers who pay their bills on or before the due date.

Utility bills can be paid by cash, cheque or debit card.  To set-up online or telephone payment, contact your financial institution.  The municipality does not accept credit cards.

The municipality also offers a convienient pre-authorized payment plan.

Water Rates

All water usage in Central Saanich is metered.  Water customers are charged a fixed charge for the maintenance of the water system. In addition, a consumption rate is charged for metered usage, which is based on the regional rate for bulk water, paid by Central Saanich, plus a mark-up to allow for system leakage.  Bylaw No. 1657 (2009) outlines current water rates.  The minimum water charge per billing period is presently $46.00.

To apply for Agricultural Water Rates, the property must be assessed as farm class by BC Assessment. Please follow the link or contact BC Assessment at 479-7131 for further information.

If you already have farm status, please pick-up an application form at the Municipal Hall or download the  application for Agriculture Water Rates and return it to the Central Saanich Municipal Hall utility billing department for processing.

Sewer Fees

Bylaw 1702 - Sewer rates (2010) outlines current rates, which are based on 80% of the water consumption for the January to April billing period of the current year.  The minimum sewer charge per billing period is presently $46.50.
