The Residential Densification Study Project:

In August 2011, Central Saanich Council initiated a consultation process to create a Residential Densification Study (RDS) for the District. This planning project will develop criteria to guide Council decisions on future residential rezoning applications. The project aims to find out what types of housing may be acceptable additions within existing neighbourhoods in the District. Also, what public benefits does the community expect to see before Council will approve a proposed development? The strength of the study will rest on thorough input from the public. The study is intended to expand on the existing housing policies adopted in the community's OCP.
