Butterfield Park and the Newman Farm Park are municipally-designated heritage sites.  Projects currently "in-progress" include restoration of the historic residential gardens within Butterfield Park, and stabilization of structures and preservation of artifacts associated with the recently-acquired Newman Farm.  Both these interesting projects rely heavily on volunteer support and offer opportunities to meet new friends, share your skills and most of all, have a bit of fun.
