	Pay my utility (water/sewer) bill and taxes The municipality will accept cash, cheque and debit cards.  In addition, taxes and utilities can be paid by telephone/internet banking. (Contact your financial institution to sign up).  Pre-authorized payment plans are also available for taxes and utilities.  The municipality does not accept credit cards. 	Garbage collection The District does not offer garbage collection service.  Please consult your telephone directory for a list of garbage collection companies that can provide you regular scheduled pick-up service.
	Dispose of my recyclables Many private garbage collection service companies also offer recyclable drop-off service.  Regular curb-side recyclable pick-up is provided by the Capital Regional District.  Check the CRD website for a schedule and accepted materials. Soft plastics recycling (including stryrofoam, small electronics and many more products) is available at Stelly’s High School, 1627 Stelly’s Cross Road on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

	Get a pet licence Dog Licences are available at the municipal hall.  The annual fees are as follows: Non-spayed or non-neutered       $30 Spayed or Neutered                   $20
	Get a building permit Building permits are required for new building construction and existing building renovations.  Check here for details on residential building permit requirements or contact the Building Department at 544-4217.
	Reserve a ball diamond or picnic shelter Although not required, reservations for use of park facilities are encouraged.  Contact the Community Services division at 544-4218, to reserve a ball diamond, athletic field, meeting room or picnic shelter, or submit a completed Park Reservation Request.
