Grants
- Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
- The District's Business EV Charger Grant offers up to 50% of the overall cost of a Level 2 charging station (max $5,000 rebate per station) to local businesses and non-profit organizations seeking to add a public charger to their site by partnering with the District of Central Saanich.
- BC Hydro and Fortis BC also have rebates for workplace chargers.
- Electric Vehicles
- Save up to $8,000 on a new zero-emission vehicle with the Federal Government’s iZEV program. In addition, the Federal Budget 2019 proposed a 100-per-cent tax write-off for zero-emission vehicles business purchases, offering a deductible up to a limit of $55,000 plus sales tax for eligible vehicles. - Receive up to $3,000 in rebates on a new electric vehicle through British Columbia’s Point of Sale Incentive Program or increase impact by accessing fleet incentives. More.
- E-bike rebates for businesses
- Business owners in B.C. can get up to $1,700 when they buy a cargo e-bike. Cargo e-bikes can cut delivery costs and reduce truck traffic in our communities.

- Building Energy Efficiency
- CleanBC Better Buildings has information about several incentives available to small businesses that improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. More.

- BC Hydro is offering financial incentives for simple one-to-one lighting, HVAC or refrigeration energy efficiency upgrades. More.
- Power Smart Partner Program - If you spend more than $250,000 each year on electricity, this program is for you. More.
- FortisBC Energy Efficiency Programs: FortisBC offers rebates and incentives on high-efficiency natural gas equipment and conservation education to help commercial customers save energy and money. Programs are available for small, medium and large-sized commercial FortisBC customers
- Efficient Boiler Program – up to $60,000 rebate on eligible high efficiency model
- Efficient Commercial Water Heater Program – Up to $15,000 on qualifying water heaters
- Energy Assessment Program – Free assessment for qualifying businesses
- Efficiency à la Carte - Foodservice Incentive Program – up to $3,500 per appliance when installing high-efficiency cooking equipment
