January 18, 2023 - The District has received an application for a 2-lot subdivision in the Agricultural Land Reserve. The proposal requires approval to rezone the property from the District, as well as approval from the Agricultural Land Commission.

January 17, 2022 - The District has received an application to the Agricultural Land Commission for a non-adhering residential use. The applicants are requesting permission to keep two existing trailers on the property for an accessory residential use. The two trailers are currently occupied by farm workers.

July 8, 2022 - The District has received an application to redevelop this site by rezoning from RM-1 Residential Attached to a new RM zone. A Development Permit with Variances for Residential Infill is also required. The owners wish to replace the existing aged 4-plex with a new 4-unit townhouse in the same location with a slightly bigger footprint and increased floor area ratio.

September 22, 2022 - The District has received an application to modify and existing covenant. The request is to modify the boundary of the building envelope specified in the covenant in order to construct a detached carriage house and an in-ground swimming pool.

May 27, 2022 - The District has received an application to redevelop the property by removing the existing townhomes and replacing with a 52 unit apartment complex including 9 rental townhomes, with underground parking. March 11, 2021 - The District has received an application to subdivide this property into 2 lots creating a panhandle lot. The the existing dwelling would remain on the street frontage. The applicant is requesting variances including the height of a dwelling on a panhandle lot for a proposed 2-storey single family residence. An Intensive Residential Development Permit is a requirement for this type of proposal and will be considered along with the variances.

November 10, 2020 - The owner's consultant has applied to rezone the property from R-2 Residential Two Family to R-1 XS Single Family Residential Infill for the purpose of subdividing into 3 lots. March 28, 2022 - The District has received an application for an amendment to Land Use Bylaw 2072 in order to allow an existing, occupied Carriage House and an existing, occupied secondary suite in the primary dwelling to remain as accessory dwelling units. Under the bylaw, only one or the other is permitted. The owner has been occupying the carriage house under a Temporary Use Permit for the past few years, which has now expired.

An application was received July 2, 2020 to rezone the property at the S.E. corner of W. Saanich and Keating X Road, from C-5 (Tourist Commercial) to a new Comprehensive Development zone for a planned tourist-oriented mixed use development where Sassy's restaurant is currently located.
The key features of this project include:
