Board of Variance
The Board of Variance is an independent body established pursuant to Section 899 of the Local Government Act to review applications by property owners for minor variances that may have caused undue hardship due to a Land Use Bylaw regulation concerning the siting, size or dimension of a building; the prohibition against structural additions or alterations to a legal non-conforming use.
The Board consists of three voluntary members appointed by Council for a three year term and meet once a month, usually the first Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers.
The meeting takes place in Council Chambers and is open to the public
