Heritage Acres is hosting their Fall Threshing Event in the field and in the inner grounds on September 15 and 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Steam and gas engines are on display along with the old time hay threshing machine in the big field. All buildings are all open, as is the BBQ and pantry kitchen. People can visit the old schoolhouse, imagine themselves living in an old log house or attending church services in our small country chapel. Come see how the blacksmith plies his trade and visit the museum which is full of old household effects and services. Wander down to the pond and see the Newman Boathouse with all its old and restored marine artifacts; or take a hike through our forest trail. Ride the peninsula's only steam powered hay wagon or ride the big CASE steam engine out in the front field - all free of charge!
Gate admission is $10/car and trains are running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by donation.
