BRENTWOOD BAY COMMUNITY GARDEN, 1233 Clarke Road (fronting onto Lucille Drive)
Central Saanich Council is reconvening the public hearing held on October 25, 2021 to continue the opportunity to comment.
The District is proposing to rezone the western portion of 1233 Clarke Road that fronts on Lucille Drive, as shown on the map, from R-2 Residential Two Family to P-1 General Institutional. A community garden project is proposed in this location. A text amendment to the P-1 zone would specifically include “Community Gardens” as a permitted use on this property only. Development Permit with Variances 3060-20-4/21 (East Saanich Rd at Central Saanich Rd)
This property, as shown shaded on the map, is split by Central Saanich Road. The property owner is requesting to rezone the property from R-1 Large Lot Single Family Residential to a new comprehensive development zone for an 8-lot subdivision containing 7 single family lots and 1 duplex lot. (Minor Amendments to Land Use Bylaw 2072)

The District is proposing minor amendments to Land Use Bylaw 2072, 2021 to the R-1M, R-1S, R-1XS zones, to the table of requirements for accessible parking, and for a minor housekeeping item.
