Recycling, Compost & Garbage

The Municipality does not offer garbage collection services; please contact one of the local private garbage collection companies to arrange pick up.

Burning Information

Open fires will be limited to the winter burning season October 16 - May 15 (unless there is a provincial fire ban)and require a permit.

North Saanich, Sidney, and Central Saanich municipalities have joined together to provide public safety alerts to the residents and visitors of the Saanich Peninsula.

Dogs

Central Saanich issues permanent dog tags. These require annual renewal to keep our information current and comply with the bylaw.

Business Licence

All businesses in Central Saanich must obtain a Business Licence and prominently display it in their place of business.

Utilities

We issue utility bills for water and sewer in January, May and September. A ten-percent discount is granted if you pay your bill by the due date.

Property Taxes

Tax Notices are mailed out in May with payment due the first business day of July.
