Central Saanich Police Service has received information of a planned protest; it will take place on Highway 17 at Mount Newton Cross Rd between 2:00 and 5:00 pm on February 26, 2020. Central Saanich Police will be on site along with our partners Sidney/North Saanich RCMP.
Expect heavy congestion on all through roads and in community cores. Central Saanich Police, with support from traffic control personnel, will be directing flow of traffic on detour routes.
The police service encourages planning extra time in your commute, especially if you have made travel plans via BC Ferries, Victoria Int’l Airport or if you have an appointment at Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
