The Community Banner Program aims to beautify Central Saanich and promote community identity, adding vibrancy and spirit to public spaces

Local artists have an exciting chance to create vibrant public art banner designs that will welcome residents and visitors to Central Saanich.

Douglas “Bear” Horne

Location: Mount Newton Cross Road
The  SX̱EDJELI (Hummingbird) by Douglas “Bear” Horne of the SȾÁUTW̱ (Tsawout) First Nation on Mt. Newton Cross Road.

Location: Keating Business District
Rooted, Tended and Tidal, draws inspiration from paper collage and brings together small vignettes of land and sea to celebrate what makes Central Saanich a treasured home for all of us.

Location: Brentwood Bay
From forest, farm to sea, weaves together the defining elements of Central Saanich. Her work reflects a place where the forest grows on the hills, meeting the rolling farmlands by the sea.
