The Central Saanich Municipal Council represents the citizens of the community and provides leadership as the legislative and policy making body for the organization. The Mayor and six Councillors of the District of Central Saanich were each elected for a four year term in the municipal election held in October 2018.

Ryan Windsor was elected to Council in the May 2013 Local Government By-election and elected as Mayor in 2014 and acclaimed as Mayor in 2018.
