Beacon Community Services, in partnership with the District of Central Saanich, opened a satellite office in Brentwood Bay, located in the lobby of the library building at 1209 Clarke Road.
"We are looking forward to sharing information, resources and referrals for all Beacon programs as well as other services that support the community,"
— Deb Greenaway, Manager of Community Services, Beacon
Volunteers connect community members with resources to support all stages of life—from childcare to mental wellness, housing, and support for older adults. They also issue Disabled Parking Permits on behalf of the Victoria Disability Resource Centre.
"Older adults and caregivers told us there is an overwhelming amount of information out there about local services and they find it difficult to navigate—having a physical place to go where they could be assisted and connected to resources will be a big benefit."
— Mayor Ryan Windsor, Central Saanich
