Beginning January 4, 2022, building permit fees will be adjusted for new construction or additions for houses, cottages, duplex or townhouse use. Permit fees will be based on the "value of construction", which the District will determine by using a software estimator tool to provide actual current local costs. This practice aligns with our Local Government neighbours, Saanich, North Saanich and Sidney. Please note that the District's Fees and Charges Bylaw is not changing.
