To support businesses during the pandemic, the District of Central Saanich is hosting a series of virtual workshops starting this January.
The first topic, Employee Recruitment and Retention, is slated for January 20, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., and will be led by Ginger Brunner, a Senior HR Specialist with go2HR—the human resources and health and safety association for BC’s tourism and hospitality industry. Brunner will present on how to recognize the impact of COVID-19 on workplace expectations, adjust job postings, as well as engage and understand the role of training in employee engagement.
“Recruiting and retaining employees is the most common issue we are hearing that businesses are struggling with,” said Central Saanich Mayor Ryan Windsor. “The workshop series is the opportunity for the District to connect businesses with resource information and collaboration on a variety of topics."
