Proposed Agricultural and Rural Zone Housing Changes
This is to notify you that Council will consider changes to the Official Community Plan (Farm Protection Development Permit Guidelines) and Zoning Bylaw to expand housing options on agricultural and rural zoned lots.
AMENDMENTS being proposed are as follows:

Amend the Official Community Plan to include Farm Protection Development Permit Guidelines for Detached Accessory Dwelling Units
- Amend the Zoning Bylaw to permit either a secondary suite or detached accessory dwelling on lots less than 1ha and allow both a secondary suite and detached accessory dwelling on properties 1ha or larger.
HOW TO PROVIDE INPUT
Written enquiries and comments submitted by mail or email received by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting, will be included in the revised meeting agenda. All correspondence submitted will form part of the
public record and may be published on a meeting agenda. Comments may be submitted by the following:- Email comments to planning@csaanich.ca
- Mail comments to 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road, Saanichton, BC, V8M 2A9
- Deliver comments to the Municipal Hall, 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road
Additionally, you may:
- Attend the council meeting in person.
