Flags at municipal facilities will be flown at half-mast until sunset on the day of the funeral or memorial service (date to be determined) to honour the memory of John Joseph Horgan, former Premier of British Columbia, who passed away in Victoria on November 12, 2024.
Mr. Horgan served as British Columbia’s 36 Premier from July 2017 to November 2022 and as Ambassador of Canada to Germany since December 2023. He was the Member of the Legislative Assembly for the constituency of Langford-Juan de Fuca and its predecessors from 2005 to 2023.
