ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT – 
6719 West Saanich Rd

This notice is to advise you that Council will hold a Public Hearing for an amendment to the Central Saanich Zoning Bylaw No. 2180 in accordance with Section 464 of the Local Government Act.

Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw No. 2077 to amend the Tourist Commercial: C-5 Zone proposes to allow for additional uses including Short Term Rental Accommodation, Attached Housing and Offices, and increase the maximum permitted gross floor area. Short Term Rental Accommodation is defined as follows:

  •    “Short Term Rental Accommodation” – means the use of a dwelling unit or a portion of a dwelling unit for temporary overnight accommodation for a period of time of less than 90 consecutive days. This use excludes Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts or accommodation in a tent, camper vehicle, recreation vehicle or trailer.

HOW TO PROVIDE INPUT

  • Written enquiries and comments submitted by mail or email received by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting, will be included in the revised meeting agenda. All correspondence submitted will form part of the
    public record and may be published on a meeting agenda. Comments may be submitted by the following:

    • Deliver comments to the Municipal Hall, 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road
