The splash pad has been reopened following removal of extensive debris deep in the system. Less permeable debris filters have been added until a longer term solution is implemented later this summer.
For those visiting the splash pad, please do not put wood chips or other debris into the system. HAPPY SPLASHING!

The Centennial Park splash pad is currently closed over the weekend as the system experienced a clogged drain that requires maintenance. During inspection, wood chips were identified in the drainage system. Staff are working to clear the blockage and assess options to help prevent similar issues in the future.
As part of upcoming accessibility upgrades, this area will also be improved with more hard surfacing, which is expected to help reduce the risk of debris entering the system.
The splash pad will remain closed while repairs are underway. Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
