Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Update
This is to notify you that Council will consider adopting a new Zoning Bylaw as part of the District's comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Update. The proposed changes are intended to modernize the Zoning Bylaw, improve usability, and align regulations with the Official Community Plan. The amendments being proposed are as follows:
- Updating zoning regulations to improve clarity, consistency, and ease of administration.
- Consolidating and modernizing residential, rural, commercial, and industrial zones.
- Introducing revised rural zone regulations to help protect sensitive ecosystems while still permitting agriculture to better align with the Official Community Plan.
- Rezoning properties along Dignan Road to the Residential Corridor (R-C) Zone to better align with the Official Community Plan.
HOW TO PROVIDE INPUT
Written enquiries and comments submitted by mail or email received by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting, will be included in the revised meeting agenda. All correspondence submitted will form part of the
public record and may be published on a meeting agenda. Comments may be submitted by the following:- Email comments to planning@csaanich.ca
- Mail comments to 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road, Saanichton, BC, V8M 2A9
- Deliver comments to the Municipal Hall, 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road
Additionally, you may:
- Attend the council meeting in person.
