Earth Hour 2019

It’s time again to join the world on March 30 from 8:30 to 9:30pm and turn out your lights for Earth Hour.

Earth Hour is an annual opportunity to take a stand for the future you want. By pledging to spend one hour without power, you’re joining forces with six continents in over 170 countries to send a strong global message about the need for climate action. This year, the goal of Earth Hour is to unite people around the world to share why nature is intrinsic – and very much connected – to our everyday lives and in our communities.

YOUR TURN!

Celebrate Earth Hour by turning off as much power as you can and using the time to focus on your commitment to climate action for the rest of this year.

  • Prepare for Earth Hour at work. Shut down your equipment and lighting at the end of your shift prior to Earth Hour, within operational constraints. Exceptions are emergency lighting and desktop computers, which have power management software that puts them to sleep when not in use.
  • Turn off as much power as you can at home.
  • You can also share what you’re doing for Earth Hour using #connect2earth. Every action counts. Do what you can to spread the word.
