The well‑loved fire truck playground at Fire Station 1 is coming due for replacement. While we hope to keep it open with maintenance until the fall, it may need to be closed as early as this spring.
The District is looking to replace it with another fire truck/fire themed playground in the future. Work to identify options and develop a replacement plan will begin as part of upcoming parks and facilities planning. At this time, however, there is no anticipated timeline for installation.
We know this playground has been a cherished part of visits to the fire station since 2013, and we appreciate the community’s understanding as we ensure our play spaces remain safe and well‑maintained. We will share updates as planning progresses.
