The District of Central Saanich is hosting its third annual New Year’s Open House, an event for community members to meet their elected officials and District staff and learn about upcoming municipal projects.
“This event is an excellent opportunity to engage with members of Council and municipal staff about priorities for 2026, such as active transportation, policing, emergency preparedness, and housing,” said Central Saanich Mayor Ryan Windsor. “It’s also a chance to share ideas, ask questions, and learn more about how these projects will shape our community’s future.”
Residents are invited to drop by Central Saanich’s New Year’s Open House Saturday, January 24, 2026, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Central Saanich Fire Station No. 1, 1512 Keating Cross Road.
Information boards will be on display about topics such as active transportation, policing, emergency preparedness, and housing. A demonstration on how to use a fire extinguisher will take place at 2:00 p.m. No RSVP is required.
