NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD: OCP AND ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION AND DEVELOPMENT VARIANCE PERMIT FOR 1934 HOVEY RD
(7551 East Saanich Road and 1934 – 1966 Hovey Road)
This is notice there will be a PUBLIC HEARING on an OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN (OCP) AMENDMENT and ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT application to re-designate five properties from ‘Neighbourhood Residential’ to ‘Multi-unit Residential’ and rezone to the Residential Attached: RM-5 zone, for a project consisting of two multi-storey buildings including market rental units, affordable rental units and seniors housing.
The proposal includes applications for OCP AMENDMENT, REZONING and DEVELOPMENT PERMIT with VARIANCES.
An OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD on the variances will be held at the same time as the public hearing.
The VARIANCES requested include:
Height, setbacks, lot coverage and parking
AND FURTHERMORE, TAKE NOTICE proposed Bylaws No. 2205 and No. 2206 as well as the draft DEVELOPMENT PERMIT may be inspected, and other information related to this bylaw and permit, may be reviewed until Wednesday, March 5, 2025, excluding weekends and statutory holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Municipal Hall, 1903 Mount Newton Cross Road.

- Written enquiries and comments submitted by mail or email received by 12:00 pm on March 5, 2025, will be included in the revised meeting agenda. All correspondence submitted will form part of the public record and may be published on a meeting agenda. Comments may be submitted by the following:
