With 
deep sorrow for the 215 children buried at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, flags at the Municipal Hall, Police and Fire Stations will be at half mast for 215 hours.
The discovery of the 215 children buried at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. reported last Thursday reminds us of the tragic injustices to Indigenous children, families and communities in Canada and that the journey toward truth, justice, healing, and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples must continue.
Our hearts are broken for these children, families, communities and First Nations across Canada, including our W̱SÁNEĆ neighbours.
This week, we have come together to wear orange to show support to our indigenous communities and to mourn the loss of 215 students. We want our communities to know that we believe that #everychildmatters
