Please plan for an alternate driving route to Wallace Drive, if possible, for this and next week.
Water main installation for the Saanichton Water Main Replacement is now complete. Paving is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, until Friday, June 13 on Wallace Drive (short section between Blossom Park and Lisnoe Avenue).
There will be single lane alternating traffic, Monday-Friday, with waiting periods. Expect bumpy pavement this week and over the weekend as base paving is completed first.
Please go slowly and cautiously, respect signage and follow direction from traffic control personnel. The speed limit remains 30 km/hour while this is an active construction site.
Crews are working to make this as smooth as possible for everyone, including prioritizing school buses and transit. Please plan for extra time in case stops are temporarily relocated. The sidewalk will be open.
