Construction on the Brentwood Bay Water System is now approximately 50% complete. New water mains have been installed along West Saanich Road, Verdier Avenue, Early Place, and are currently being replaced through the roundabout. Testing of the new water system will take place in the near term, followed by road restoration and paving.
The District has commissioned the design for replacement of additional sections of water main that are directly adjacent to the original project. These sections include Stellys Cross Road between Enid Place and West Saanich Road, Dignan Road, Enid Place, Tantalon and Meadowlark. Construction on the additional sections of work have not yet been awarded, but are expected to take place over the summer by Central Saanich staff and contractor services. Addition details will be provided once final design and budgeting have concluded.
The overall project is recipient of grant funding through the Clean Water And Waste Water Fund, awarded to the District in 2016.
