The National Tsunami Warning Center has issued a cancellation for all watch, advisory and warning notices for coastal BC.
During the event, emergency services personnel were out monitoring low-lying areas and District staff were at the emergency operations center.
In the event evacuation was necessary, we would open a reception center (this center is separate than the emergency operations center).
This is a good reminder to have your personal safety kit stocked and ready to go in your home and vehicles.
