Starting January 2018, route 81 Swartz Bay/Butchart Gardens will be extended and buses will now turnaround at Oceanside RV Park at the end of Stautw Road rather than at the Tsawout administration building.
This extended route will much better serve the Tsawout First Nation and will make the area and the transit system more accessible.
This route will operate Monday to Friday on three morning trips and two afternoon trips starting and ending at Saanichton Exchange.
Earlier this year the District of Central Saanich and the Tsawout First Nation sought an extended bus route through the Tsawout First Nation from the BC Transit Commission.
