An EnerGuide Home Energy Evaluation helps you identify where energy is used in your home and what energy efficiency upgrades could make the most sense for you, to save energy costs and improve home comfort.
As the first step in any home energy improvement journey, homeowners can gain clear insights into how their home uses and loses energy as part of these evaluations.
The District is offering Central Saanich single-family (detached dwelling) homeowners with substantial savings for completing an initial (pre-retrofit) or post-retrofit home EnerGuide evaluation by a dedicated, registered, District-approved Energy Advisor.
- EnerGuide pre-retrofit Evaluation: $99 + tax (a savings of over $400!)
- EnerGuide post-retrofit Evaluation: $50 + tax (a savings of over $200!)
Please note that this evaluation does not include a CSA F280-12 heat load calculation.

Eligibility requirements
- The property must be within the municipal boundaries of the District of Central Saanich.
- The property must be an eligible home type and must be at least 12 months old.
- You must be the registered owner of the home.
- You must get a confirmation email from the program administrator to proceed.
- Evaluations must be provided by the District-approved contractor.
